About Senthil Nathan
Senthil is one of Asia’s leading experts in responsible sourcing, workplace dignity, and business ethics. Born into a smallholder farming family in rural South India, he was the first in his family to graduate from both high school and university—a milestone that continues to shape his commitment to social and economic inclusion.
With more than two decades of experience across business and international development in multiple countries, Senthil believes that lasting solutions to society’s biggest challenges require business to be part of the equation. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Fairtrade Australia New Zealand and sits on the Board of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID). Senthil is an alumnus of Columbia University and a Fellow at Harvard University.
Through his podcast, Business & Society, Senthil engages some of the world’s most inspiring thinkers and practitioners in grounded, practical conversations about how markets, policies, and workplaces can be reimagined to create a more just and prosperous global society.
